Political conversations have occupied American citizens for hundreds of years, and artists have also responded to these political concerns, representing the action of voting, political candidates, and responses to policy.  As rights have alternatively been assured and threatened over many years, these artists continue to grapple with and critique the desire to form a more perfect republic.
