Where can I learn more about a specific artist or type of art?

The Museum maintains object files on the artworks in the CRMA permanent collection. If you are researching a particular work by an artist, please contact our Curator of Collections and Exhibitions Julia Jessen at jjessen@crma.org.

I am an artist. Would the CRMA ever consider me for an exhibition?

The Cedar Rapids Museum of Art is always interested in learning about and discovering new artists. Artists are welcome to submit a cover letter, a set of no more than 20 images (digital images, DVD, or website information), and resume for consideration. Please allow plenty of time for these materials to be reviewed as the quantity of submissions is sometimes quite high. Also, please be aware that our exhibition schedule is usually booked for several years in advance to allow the proper amount of time for exhibition planning and implementation. Proposals and materials should be mailed to:

Cedar Rapids Museum of Art
Attn: Julia Jessen
410 Third Avenue SE
Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52401

Email submissions are acceptable as well. Attachments must not exceed 20MB. Please email submissions to Curator of Collections and Exhibitions Julia Jessen at jjessen@crma.org.
