Armstrong Visitor Center

The ground floor beneath the Grant Wood Studio, which was formerly a carriage house and then a garage, is now the Esther and Robert Armstrong Visitor Center, in recognition of a generous grant from the Esther and Robert Armstrong Charitable Trust. This grant supports the operating costs, programs, and free general admission to the Studio.

The Armstrong Visitor Center is often the site for educational programs and artistic activities. Visit the Calendar of Events for a full schedule. For details on how to rent the Armstrong Visitor Center visit our Facility Rental page.

The Cedar Rapids Museum of Art Museum Store has a small satellite operation located in the Armstrong Visitor Center, which concentrates on merchandise related to the life and art of Grant Wood.
